Mitsubishi Motors North America

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is implementing an initiative to strengthen their brand image based on the message “Drive your Ambition.” AGI has partnered with Mitsubishi Motors North American to support existing and new dealer’s integration of the Visual Identity elements both on the exterior and interior of dealerships. 

02. The Challenge

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Japan developed the Visual Identity program featuring black, white, and gray as core colors with red dynamic accents to enhance customers’ experience with the Mitsubishi brand. AGI’s Facility Branding team worked diligently with the customer to apply standards for these guidelines for dealerships in North America. With a variety of existing building types and new construction projects identified, the next step was for AGI to partner with dealers to review how standards could be applied to specific dealerships.

03. Our Solution

AGI created a turnkey process to support dealers from design to installation that allows dealers to be involved in how the brand best works at their dealership as well as meeting the global standards. An AGI Brand Manager visits every dealership that signs up for the program and conducts a site survey – or in the case of new construction review of the plans with the dealer’s construction team. The results of the survey are shared with Mitsubishi Motors North America for approval and then execution of the new image can occur. The survey and design process lead to the best solutions for each individual dealer due to Brand Management team’s time spent on site at the dealership and with the dealer.

04. The Results

AGI completed the installation at the first Visual Identity branded dealership in Lewisville, TX. Lewisville Autoplex is an example of new construction where branding elements were installed on the exterior of the building, in the showroom, and in the service reception area. There are approximately 355 dealerships in North America that will be re-branded in the next 5 years. AGI currently has over 70 dealers signed up to kick-off the Visual Identity branding process.
